Arc/GT vaporizer heats by conduction

The Arc portable vaporizer is equipped with a conduction heating system, quite similar to that of the Pax 3 by the way.

Conduction heating implies that the vaporized plant material is in direct contact with the heating element, here the vaporization chamber itself.

On the other hand, if the plant was not in direct contact with the heating element but with a flow of warm air to vaporize its active ingredients, we would speak of convection.

Thus, conduction heating ensures a rapid production of steam, which allows to inhale small puffs nevertheless dense.

Steam quality of the Zeus Arc/Arc GT vaporizer

It must be said what is, the first puffs are extremely tasty, I really insist on it.

In fact, this is probably the best flavor rendering I could taste on a portable electronic vaporizer …

On the other hand, the temperatures of the steam produced and the Zeus itself are increasing rapidly, making the experience much less enjoyable than at the beginning.

This is due to the great compactness of the Zeus Arc portable vaporizer, which implies that heat inertias take hold…

Thus, after a few puffs the mouthpiece begins to heat the lips, and the steam becomes significantly more irritating while it was soft.

It would appear that the best vaporizers on the market are equipped with steam cooling units.

Indeed, cooling the steam before it reaches the mouth makes it sweeter and tastier!

The Zeus Arc/Arc GT suitable for herbal medicine?

The Zeus Arc GT portable vaporizer works with three pre-set heating temperatures, which we can program by Bluetooth smartphone app.

So we can download the app on the manufacturer's website (follow this link) if we want to change these three temperatures.

We will then have access to four different configurations:

• V4.0 mode – Performance: 205/215/225oC (pre-installed mode)
• V4.1 mode – Iceborn performance: 205/215/225oC (designed for water chamber use)
• V6.0 mode – Flavor: 185/195/205OC (thought for flavours at the expense of steam production)
• V8.0 mode – Balanced: 185/205/225oC (balance between flavours and steam production)

And everything suggests that new configurations will be put online by Zeus Arsenal…

For my part, I find that the optimum temperature with the plants is 205oC with the Zeus Arc.

However, I'm rather a fan of low temperatures in general to favor the rendering of flavors over the production of steam.

But it turns out that the aromatic rendering is very good 205oC while at 185oC the steam production is strangely weak without the taste being more pronounced.

Would the Zeus Arc overestimate its vaporization temperatures?

In any case, given the low temperature range proposed by this portable vaporizer (185-225oC) we cannot describe it as adequate for herbal medicine…

Its use therefore remains reserved for a particular type of plant, and the concentrates that we will consume with cotton so as not to soil the vaporization chamber.

Ergonomics and use of the Zeus Arc GT

In this section, there is nothing but positive for the Zeus Arc/Arc GT portable vaporizer.

Indeed, it is a vapo very simple to use, and especially very small size!

It therefore falls into the category of vaporizers of "mini" size alongside the Pax 3, Fenix Mini and Dynavap for example.

Its dimensions are 8.6cm long and 4.2cm wide and 2.3cm thick.

Zeus Arsenal distributes two versions of its new Zeus Arc vaporizer.

However, the Zeus Arc GT is its own as its name suggests equipped with gold components!

This will make the steam produced more refreshed and the vaporizer will heat the user's lips less.

The Zeus arc GT is therefore more efficient than its counterpart, but also so much classier!

The difference in price is minimal (about twenty euros), those for whom the budget is not too hard to assume should not hesitate too much.

Maintenance of the Zeus Arc/Arc GT portable vaporizer

In order to take advantage of the performance of the Zeus Arc/Arc GT portable vaporizer to their full potential, it will be necessary to ensure its maintenance!

Indeed, an effective vaporizer is a clean vaporizer.

For example, the Zeus Arc/Arc GT comes with pipe cleaners, cotton swabs and alcoholic wipes for cleaning.

To start, use the metal rod stowed with the pipe cleaners, and insert it into the airflow after removing the multi-tool covering it.

Then push gently to remove the filter from the vaporization chamber, you can already put it to soak in isopropylic alcohol before continuing.

Then disassemble the mouthpiece and remove in the grill and the cooling plate, which we will also soak, a good half hour will do the trick.

Finally, we will use cotton rods to clean the vaporization chamber.

All you have to do is rinse the metal parts with water and dry them before reassembling the Zeus Arc/Arc GT vaporizer!

The alcoholic wipes will be very practical to clean the cooling plate while moving…

In fact, it tends to accumulate plant micro-particles that make inhalation more difficult and seem to impair the performance of the Zeus.

How the Zeus vaporizer works

As we said earlier, a smartphone app is available to set the temperatures of the Zeus Arc/Arc GT.

Nevertheless, you can use the vaporizer immediately using base temperatures that are 205/215/225oC.

The detail that appealed to me the most was the incredible flavour rendering of the first puffs at the temperature of 205oC!

Unfortunately, the heat then rises a little too much and the rendering suffers, but the steam production seems endless.

But let's be realistic, for such a small vaporizer, Zeus Arsenal has achieved a nice feat.
