Is that pretty clear?

If we were to name a portable convection vaporizer, it would be the Ghost MV1.

Convection heating is a particularly interesting concept when it is successful.

The problem is that it is difficult to compatible with portable vaporizers because it is very energy-intensive…

The principle is to produce steam by heating the plant with a hot air flow rather than placing it directly on the heating element.

In the latter case, we would speak of heating by conduction rather than convection.

Although some portable vaporizers present themselves as working with convection heating, a part of conduction still settles through heat inertia during the session!

However, this is not the case with the Ghost MV1, whose system only works with convection heaters.

Indeed, the removable plant chamber is embedded in a silicone sheath separating it from the heater element and the shell of the vaporizer.

This sheath has the peculiarity of being an excellent thermal insulator, the melting temperature of the silicone is also located at 300oC which is very high for a plastic component.

So when you don't inhale into the Ghost MV1 the plant bowl is perfectly insulated from heat inertia!

This perfectly preserves the aromas and active ingredients of the plants between two puffs.

The Ghost MV1 is equipped with a powerful 2600 Mah removable battery.

This battery can vaporize about 100 puffs per full charge!

On the other hand, know that this battery recharges by USB in more than 8 hours of time … It's huge!

So it may be wise to invest in a battery or the optional fast charger.

Indeed, the latter offers you the possibility to recharge your batteries in about 3 hours, it's already more comfortable.

Ghost MV1 for herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine is herbal medicine.

Plant spraying is therefore a form of herbal medicine by inhalation.

Thus, in order to be able to speak of "medicine" with a vaporizer, the latter must be able to produce a vapor in line with this term.

That is to say, the steam renders without distorting the active ingredients and aromas of our medicinal plants and herbs.

In the case of the Ghost MV1, no problem with these two criteria!

We can therefore speak of steam of adequate quality to the practice of herbal medicine with MV1.

However, not all plants heat up at the same temperatures… It is therefore imperative that the vaporizer offers a wide range of materials.

The Ghost offers a range of 140 to 220 degrees Celsius, which is compatible even with fragile plants such as mint and tobacco that ideally vaporize below 150 degrees Celsius.

Nevertheless, you will need to go through the smartphone app in order to set the (there are two) programmable temperatures on the value you desire depending on your plant.

Indeed, the default vaporization temperatures of the MV1 start at 175oC, which corresponds to a large majority of the plants used.

We can therefore say that the Ghost is adequate to practice herbal medicine, but not as flexible as with a Mighty for example!

Ergonomics and use of the Ghost MV1

It is true that the Ghost is one of the biggest vaporizers I have ever tried, and without a doubt the heaviest!

This makes it a little less attractive in terms of portability…

In fact, we could rather talk about a "transportable" vaporizer than actually portable.

Beware of falls, the MV1 is so heavy that we imagine it either fly in burst in contact with the ground or leave a meteorite impact …

However, the grip is excellent and the buttons are easily accessible, especially the one that allows the steam production to be operated at the touch of the thumb.

In addition, futuristic design may not appeal, but I love it!

Finally, know that this vaporizer is without bunker one of the least reliable on the market …

Indeed, while some users have no technical problems with the MV1, others report that it only works once in two or less.

The manufacturer also offers an after-sales service to deal with these unfortunate problems.

For my part, I found on my model that actually the steam was not always at the appointment when I activated the heating … Immeasurable frustration!

It turns out that the silicone sheath in which the plant bowl slides is a rigid hair and that the plant bowl sometimes fits in a neglected way, which then implies a leakage of air into the circuit.

Thus, the air inhaled through the pantes is lukewarm rather than hot and extraction is not done.

So I have to meticulously check that my bowl is well placed at each vaporization session, which is frankly candy-breaking.

But hey, it seems that these problems are increasingly rare in recent productions of MV1 …

Maintenance of the MV1 portable vaporizer

A clean, well-maintained vaporizer will always produce the highest quality vapor.

Indeed, a dirty machine will accumulate rancid tastes and sometimes the draw will be reduced by the accumulation of steam and plant residues.

So it's welcome to clean your Ghost MV1 as soon as it's felt, about every two weeks for everyday use in my opinion.

To do this, remove the plant bowl from the silicone sheath with its small metal lid.

Then remove the silver case from the glass mouthpiece and disassemble the top to remove the tip and its ceramic sheath.

Finally, soak all this (except the lid of the silver case) in isopropylic alcohol for as long as it takes for them to become clean again.

After which you can dry the parts before reassembling them on the MV1!

How ghost MV1 vaporizer works

The Ghost MV1 works without a screen, with a vision system next to its ignition button on the front of the MV1.

You can check the battery level as well as the heating temperatures via Bluetooth on your smartphone.

– Turn on/off: Make 3 taps on the ignition button.
– Battery level: Make 1 long push on the ignition button.
– Access to the temperature menu: make another 1 long push on the ignition button.
– Temperature choice: Make 1 short pressure after having access to the temperature menu.
– Start the heater: keep the pressure on the trigger at the back of the vapo.

A vibration will be felt when the temperature is reached: you can then inhale gently and long to optimize the convection heating process!

Finally, another vibration will tell you that the heating is over, but you can continue to suck because the MV1 will still be hot for a few moments.

With its 100% convection heating system, on-demand puffs and out-of-the-ordinary steam rendering and production, the MV1 performs as well as a portable living room vaporizer!

Finally transportable rather than portable, because if you slip the Ghost in the pocket of your shorts I do not give you three steps to make before you end up ass suck!

Its lack of technical reliability also makes it unsuitable for 100% nomadic use, because it takes longer to put the bowl in place than to vaporize it.
