DaVinci Miqro portable spray, the minimalist.
The manufacturer DaVinci (Organicix) is definitely very productive!
In 2018, DaVinci Miqro is the fourth vaporizer marketed by the company.
This portable vaporizer is the same as its older Davinci IQ, but much more compact.
Indeed, the Miqro has about two thirds of the weight and volume of its elder.
But is it as good?

DaVinci MIQRO spray by conduction
The DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer offers the user a conduction heating system, combined with a zircone ceramic bowl.
But back to our sheep, let me explain what conduction heating entails in the DaVinci Miqro.
Conduction heating implies that the extraction of the active ingredients of the plants is done by direct contact between the plant matter and the heating element.
This mode of heating generally ensures a fast and regular steam production.
Sometimes, some models of conduction vaporizers show that the heater is unstable and increases exponentially.
But this is not the case for the portable Miqro vaporizer, the temperature seems quite stable!
The steam quality of daVinci MIQRO
This is where things start to get tougher…
As a matter of principle, the smaller a portable vaporizer, the hotter the steam it produces.
Indeed, to improve ergonomics, many portable vaporizers are not equipped with steam cooling unit.
This is then sent directly to the mouth, at a temperature that can be irritating for the user.
In addition, heat radiation will be installed through the metal components and therefore conductors of the vaporizer, which will heat the hand annoyingly.
The DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer does not escape these two problems, despite the transmission of steam and the zircone ceramic mouthpiece, which is a material highly resistant to thermal shocks.
In short, the Miqro overheats in hand and destarse the teeth!
Ah, I forgot the most important thing, if the plant comes out of the brown vaporizer, ie devoid of active ingredients, I have no idea where the steam went.

Warm-up time and battery life
The heating time of the DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer is quite respectable.
Indeed, it reaches 180oC in sixty seconds, which remains in the average of good vaporizers.
It vibrates in hand when the temperature is reached, no need to keep your eyes fixed on the screen, as my mother would say.
On the other hand, the Miqro software seems energy-intensive, as was the case with the portable IQ vaporizer…
I unfortunately emptied the small accu 18350 removable in a short session of vaporization, enough to feel guilty.
It all depends on your consumption, but if you are a frantic consumer, go your way!
For the others, one or two additional batteries will surely be welcome, while taking advantage of the record ergonomics of the DaVinci Miqro.
DaVinci Miqro portable spray suitable for herbal medicine?
The temperature panel of the DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer offers the possibility of vaporizing between 124 and 221 degrees Celsius.
This temperature panel is sufficient to consume a large majority of plants, including some of the most fragile such as mint and tobacco.
Thus, in theory, the Miqro portable vaporizer allows to practice herbal medicine…
But in practice, the steam produced is too hot and irritating, I would not call it adequate for any form of therapy.
Fortunately, the vaporizer comes with a 10mm adapter compatible with the glassware, which will allow the user to use the Miqro with a bubbler.
Thus, the steam will be cooler, but we will lose all the ergonomics that makes the main asset of the portable vaporizer DaVinci Miqro.
Ergonomics and use
The high quality of the DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer is its ergonomics.
Indeed, its ultra compact size of 7.6cm by 3.4cm and its weight of 100 grams make it an ally of choice for the most nomadic!
It is so small that it would pass for an mp3, it also looks like it with its design worthy of Apple's designs.
The grip remains good, the thumb or index finger is instinctively positioned on the fire button of the vapo according to the direction in which it is held.
The texture of the aluminum hull is just as pleasant to the touch as that of the IQ, which is slightly grainy.
The mouthpiece is designed to gain ergonomics, and perfectly fits the shape of our lips, nothing changes here either.
Moreover, I greatly appreciate the access to the vaporization chamber, designed so that the plants that fit in easily.
The DaVinci Miqro portable vaporizer vibrates when it is started, put on standby, and when the selected temperature is reached.
As with the IQ, the display of temperatures and different modes is not done by a LED screen, but by a grid of LEDs.
The Miqro is less clear because it is smaller than its predecessor, and displays the figures of the precision mode in turn rather than the whole number, this is a bit off-putting at first but you get used to it.
On the other hand, the Smarth Path mode in variable temperatures is as clear as ever.

How DaVinci MIQRO vaporizer works
The intelligent software of the Miqro offers the possibility for the user to vaper with different modes, in fixed temperature or variable!
The precision mode allows you to vape at a fixed temperature at the user's choice, to the degree.
The Smart Path mode allows for vaping at variable temperature, this means that the temperature will gradually increase during vaporization.
For example, the first of the four Smart Path modes starts heating at 176 degrees Celsius and finishes at 188 degrees Celsius!
Note that you have the option to change the settings via a smartphone app designed by the manufacturer.
Turn on/off: Press the main button 5 times quickly.
Select temperature: Both buttons on the walls of the vaporizer.
Boost mode: Keep the pressure on the main button, the vaporizer will activate the heater at maximum temperature.
Switch between Smart Path mode and precision mode: a push on the main button.

Summary
DaVinci had regaled me with his awesome IQ, and it is true that I carried a lot of hope on his successor the Miqro.
For me, the primary quality of a vaporizer lies in the quality of the steam it produces.
Unfortunately, the Miqro portable vaporizer does not meet my requirement in this matter…
And from afar!
It is too frustrating to inhale irritating hot air devoid of steam, and to find after the fact that the plant emerges from the vaporization chamber with a brownish color indicating that the active ingredients have been consumed.
A bad trick of bad magic that we would have done well.
On the other hand, the object is undeniably pretty and discreet, and although energy-hungry, will probably be useful to the less demanding among us.
