Tera portable vaporizer by Boundless, the new challenger of the vape?
Vapogeeks have been waiting for a high-performance portable vaporizer, that is, that would produce quality steam, and provide technical features for practical use.
What do I hear?
Would a vaporizer meet these criteria?
This would be possible, because let's remember, the manufacturer Boundless had already impressed us with its CFX vaporizer, which some define as a copy of storz and Bickel's famous Mighty.

Tera spray by convection
The Tera vaporizer from Boundless works with convection heating.
This means that the extraction of the active ingredients of plants actually by passing hot air through the plant matter.
In most portable vaporizers, heating is done by conduction, or by hybrid conduction and convection system.
Conduction is a mode of heating which means that the active ingredients of plants are extracted when it is in direct contact with the heating element.
We have of course found that a form of conduction is installed during the session, but far from us the idea of looking for the little beast!
On the contrary, it ensures a greater production of steam, we like it.
The steam quality of The Tera of Boundless
Now let's see what the Tera sends, steam level.
When inhaled, we find that the print is perfect, well thought out for the convection heating system.
We get very quickly a nice steam provided, and quite tasty.
The production of steam remains stable for several puffs, the extraction of the active ingredients seemed rather fast.
On the other hand, the steam quickly becomes hot, and the flavor of the plants is distorted by a kind of taste that I would describe as "spicy".
At the end of the session, it scrapes the throat!
Note that the warm side the steam is accentuated with the extra glass mouthpiece.
I then sprayed by associating with the Tera a silicone pipe, the heat is certainly reduced, but the parasitic taste remains present.
I had already felt it in the use of the CFX of Boundless, it is possible that it comes from ceramics used as a heating element of the vaporizers of the manufacturer …
This is only a personal deduction of course, the problem may come from elsewhere, because I am not a graduate ceramologist!
In any case, it's a shame (more for steam than for my degree in ceramology).
Unrivalled heating time and battery life!
The Tera portable vaporizer by Boundless is really impressive on this side.
Indeed, the two removable 2500 mah batteries support about six sessions of vaporization, i.e. six bowls of plants to be sprayed.
This already places him in the group of the most autonomous electronic portable vaporizers.
In addition, as we told you, they are removable so with 2 additional batteries you double the potential!
I timed the Tera which reached 180oC in 18 seconds …
This is the fastest portable vaporizer I've ever tried!
A temperature panel suitable for all plants and concentrates?
The Boundless Tera portable vaporizer offers a wide range of temperature (from 40 to 220 degrees Celsius) as well as a 260-degree boost mode designed for concentrates.
Thus, one could theoretically practice herbal medicine with all plants, but the irritating aspect of steam would prevent me from defining it optimally for medicine …
We recommend using the stainless steel straw liquid pad provided with the Tera for boost mode for concentrates, whether solid, liquid or oily.
Indeed, if you activated this boost mode with cotton, it would go into combustion because it starts at 231oC.
FYI, the liquid pads and pods of Storz and Bickel's Mighty and Crafty are compatible with the Tera!
Ah, how nice are these Germans to help their American boyfriends, unless they simply scratch the friendship…
Ergonomics and use of the Tera vaporizer
The Mammoth.
It's certainly compact, but it's definitely the heaviest portable vaporizer I've touched.
About 300 grams, you might as well tell you that it's filling your pockets!
The arrangement of the buttons does not help to grip, we twist the wrists to press them.
On the other hand, the coating of the hull is pleasant to the touch, it offers a velvety texture.
The screen displays all the necessary information clearly, the short-sighted will not have any problems.
The vaporizer vibrates when turned on and off, as well as when the vaporization temperature is reached.
Its compact size makes it very stable when placed on a table, unlikely it will fall face down!
Moreover, the screen located on the top of the vapo is not likely to be exposed to shock in this case.
The software is well thought out, simple, intuitive.
In addition, I greatly appreciate the access system to the magnetized vaporization chamber.
The mammoth knows what it's doing!

Turn on/off: Press the main button 5 times quickly.
Select temperature: Both buttons on the walls of the vaporizer.

Summary
The Tera portable vaporizer has attractive technical features, but is it as powerful as one might hope?
For my part, the main quality of a vaporizer is the quality of the steam it produces, I mean respect for the aromas and active ingredients of plants.
Unfortunately for me, the Tera does not fully meet my requirement in this matter.
What a pity!
But tastes and colors are not discussed, and for those whose quality of steam is not paramount and who would look for a vaporizer technically well, the Tera will do the trick.
It will even be an excellent choice because of its great autonomy, its removable batteries and its boost mode for concentrates!
