The Arizer Air is a portable vaporizer that makes many envious!

Arizer is a word that sounds good to the ears of savvy vapophiles.

Indeed, the Canadian manufacturer has been delighting the taste buds of vaporists since 2010 with its super vaporizers, notably the Arizer Solo.

At the time, the market for portable vaporizers was booming, and it was Arizer who led the dance until 2014 with the release of Storz's Mighty – Bickel.

Today, the Air portable vaporizer, available since 2015, remains a reference and always everything of a great.

As they say here, good wine ages well.

So let's review, four years later, this portable vaporizer that has already made so many happy.

Let's go even further, and compare it with his youngest, the Arizer Air 2.

Arizer Air convection and radiation spray

The Arizer Air portable vaporizer is designed with a convection heating system.

Convection heating produces steam through the passage of warm air through the plant.

Conduction heating would be used if the plant came into contact with the heater.

In the case of the Arizer Air portable vaporizer, the ceramic heater element is placed below the stainless steel vaporizer chamber.

Thus, when inhaled, the air is heated before passing through the plants to extract the active ingredients in the form of steam.

However, heat radiation from the heater is rapidly installed and the vaporization temperature gradually increases.

This will increase the extraction capacity of the Arizer Air portable vaporizer, and the active ingredients are released from the plants quickly.

unfortunately, after 10 minutes of vaporization, it is not impossible to reach pre-combustion.

We therefore consider that the lack of stability of the Air does not offer real effective temperature control.

Arizer continues to offer this hybrid radiation convection system for its newer vaporizers such as Air 2 and Solo 2, although radiation less distorts temperature control in their case.

Arizer Air vapor quality

The Arizer Air portable vaporizer delivers a full, sweet, tasty and sweet steam from the first puffs.

The respect for the flavours of the plants is well achieved, much more even than that of its successor the Arizer Air 2.

In fact, the Arizer Air is part of this group of vaporizers that offer in the mouth what you can smell with the nose.

It is probably the condensation of steam in the glass mouthpiece that gives it that wet touch, and makes it more pleasant to inhale than dry steam.

Of course, the steam is a little lukewarm, and it's really surprising that it is so tasty!

It will always be possible to refresh it with a longer mouthpiece.

The Arizer Solo vaporizer is perfect, especially if you spray at high temperatures.

The original mouthpiece always deserves to be fitted with silicone protection to save your lips.

The extraction of the active ingredients of your aromatic herbs and medicinal plants is done quickly, offering a fairly dense steam and rather brief sessions.

Arizer Air battery and battery life

The Arizer Air works with removable 18650 batteries!

It should be noted that in 2015, it was revolutionary in the field of vaporization.

This gives the user the ability to change the battery when it empties, pushing the boundaries of the nomadic vape.

Even today, few quality vaporizers offer this feature, such as the Arizer air 2 and the Tera from Boundless.

Indeed, the best unserious portable vaporizer since 2014 is equipped with internal batteries, I named the Mighty.

An 18650 2500 Mah battery allows the Arizer Air to spray two to three bowls of plants depending on the temperature you choose, so plan an extra battery depending on your consumption.

These batteries can be recharged by usb via the Arizer Air portable vaporizer, or with a wall battery charger that is not supplied with it.

5 pre-set vaporization temperatures

The Arizer Air portable vaporizer is programmed at five different vaporization temperatures.

Temperatures range from 180 to 210 degrees Celsius.

It will therefore not be possible to spray certain plants such as mint for example, which require a low temperature around 100-150oC.

Fortunately, most plants sprayed by vapophiles are eaten between 180 and 200 degrees Celsius!

Thus, even if herbal medicine will not be practiced in the broadest sense of the term, its use will suit the majority of recreational users.

The first diode at the top of the spray button will change color depending on the temperature selected:

Temperature 1: 180C / 356F (Blue)
Temperature 2: 190C / 374F (White)
Temperature 3: 200C / 392F (Green)
Temperature 4: 205C / 401F (Orange)
Temperature 5: 210C / 410F (Red)

The first three temperatures will be adapted to plants, while the last two are reserved for the use of concentrates.

Ergonomics and use of the Arizer Air

The Arizer Air is a beautiful object with a sober and uncluttered design.

Its grip is comfortable, its cylindrical shape of 2.3 cm in diameter grips well.

It also rather light with its 123 grams.

These features make it an excellent portable vaporizer, comfortable and space-saving.

Thus, it is easy to understand why Arizer kept them for his little brother the Air 2.

The near top of the bowl is actually a cooling system, it gives the Air an air of laser sword 🙂

The glass tips have a rubber cap so you can pre-fill the bowls before you go on a trip.

Maintenance of the Air portable vaporizer

Over time, a film of tars settles in the duct of the glass mouthpiece, to which are added micro particles of plants.

This is visually unsuitable, and can give a taste that some will define as rancid.

We will therefore take care to clean up all this when we judge when the time comes, depending on our frequency of use.

To do this, we will immerse the mouthpiece in alcohol (isopropylic for example) at least ten minutes before rinsing it well with clear water.

Although the heater bowl should stay clean longer than the mouthpiece, a shot of alcohol-soaked cotton rod will be welcome from time to time.

Tip: add a grate in the mouthpiece before placing the plants in it, this will reduce the infiltration of micro particles into the tube!

How the Arizer Air vaporizer works

Make sure you have a charged battery before depleting your new Air vaporizer.

If this is not the case, be aware that it is possible to use it during charging provided the battery is not completely empty.

Crumble your plants and fill the mouthpiece of your choice.

The shorter is more discreet and offers a bowl of reduced capacity, it is suitable for short vaporization sessions.

The two longer will cool the steam better and offer a more consistent capacity.

One of these two is equipped with a silicone mouthpiece to match the shapes your lips, I really appreciate the comfort.

You can also use the tip of the Arizer Solo portable vaporizer, which is longer so it will cool the steam better for a better flavor rendering.

Once filled, place the tube in the vaporization chamber.

Turn on the vaporizer by simultaneously pressing the two arrows of the button, then select the temperature.

I personally only use the first one (blue diode for 180oC) with plants.

The bottom diode will then flash until the desired temperature is reached, which takes about one minute and thirty seconds.

Thus, when the temperature is reached, the diode is stable and inhalation is possible!

We have the ability to turn off the Air portable vaporizer in the same way we turn it on.

The Arizer Air's pluses Les – Arizer Air 2
1 Steam quality 5 temperatures programmed
2 Ergnomy Temperature rising during the session
3 Use during charging
4 Accu 18650 removable
5 Easy to use

For summary

The Air is a super portable vaporizer that has greatly contributed to the reputation of Canadian manufacturer Arizer.

Light, ergonomic and discreet, with removable battery, it's a great choice for nomadic vapophiles!

It has an excellent lifespan, I had mine in 2016 and it still works as on the first day, 3 years later.

The most important criterion remains the quality of the steam produced, and as I said earlier, the Air belongs to the elite category with its respect for exceptional flavor.

In short, the Air achieved a feat by combining ergonomics and steam quality…

we only blame it for the lack of stability in heating temperatures.

We definitely can't have it all!
