Pax 3 VS Zeus Arc GT Spray Comparison

Until recently, the community agreed that the Pax 3 was the best mini-sized portable vaporizer.

This was not to mention the arrival of the Zeus Arc GT on the market in January of this year 2019…

Indeed, the Zeus Arc vaporizer has several similarities to the Pax 3 vaporizer.

Among them the compact archi format of course, but also their conduction heating systems, their integrated touch mouthpieces and pre-programmed temperatures…

So we had an obligation to set the record straight with this article to determine how these two vaporizers differ!

There are two versions of the Arc, which are the Zeus Arc and the Zeus Arc GT.

We chose to compare the Pax 3 with Arc GT because it is the best of the two with its useful gold components against heat inertia!

This article is not a complete test of these two vaporizers, but just a comparison!

Pax 3 vs Zeus Arc GT: The steam rendering

Let's start by describing the steam produced by the Pax 3…

Some of you already know it well, it is true that it is a popular portable vaporizer that many own.

Thus, it turns out to be of quality with a good return of flavor and an acceptable volume.

This is partly due to the design of its stainless steel vaporization chamber, a clean material.

The draw, as it is, is rather closed… Some like it, some don't.

For my part this detail does not bother me too much, I imagine that this was thought by Paxlabs to make the most of the performance of the Pax 3.

The problem is that the shell of the vaporizer and its steam quickly become very hot, which makes the experience really less pleasant…

Now let's see for the Zeus Arc GT!

This new vaporizer is of course much less known to vapopphiles in this area.

However, I put my hand to cut that it will quickly rise in notoriety!

Indeed, the flavor rendering at the beginning of the vaporization session is really amazing!

In fact, I have rarely felt the flavors of my plants with such purity and intensity with an electronic portable vaporizer…

I imagine that the huge volume of steam produced by the Zeus Arc GT is no stranger to all this!

More steam means more taste, this makes sense.

Moreover, this large volume of steam is itself linked to the much more open draw of the Zeus.

As you will have understood, a major difference between these two vaporizers will be their print or airflow!

On the other hand, a point that is too common to them is the heat that accumulates too quickly in their hulls and that impacts the freshness of the steam in addition to working the lips …

This is despite the gold cooling unit of the Zeus Arc GT, designed of course to cool the steam.

The heat of the steam and mouthpiece of the Zeus Arc is still much better controlled than for the Pax 3!

Pax 3 vs Zeus Arc GT: Extraction Efficiency

The Pax 3 and Zeus Arc GT vaporizers are both equipped with a vaporization chamber with conduction heating system.

Conduction heating implies that the vaporized plant is in direct contact with the heating element, i.e. the walls of the vaporization chamber in both cases.

Thus, one might think that these two vaporizers may offer the same extraction capacity, but this is not the case.

Indeed, we could see in the previous paragraph that the airflow of the Zeus Arc GT was much more open than that of the Pax 3, and this partly impacts the volume of steam obtained.

In fact, the Arc GT will make bigger clouds and extract the active ingredients of the plants faster than its competitor, without having to to tingle the bowl!

The Pax 3, on the other hand, extracts plants much longer in the form of smaller clouds…

It will also be necessary tont the plant material from time to time to consume everything.

This is not too much of a problem, as this vaporizer only takes about fifteen seconds to heat and about as much to cool…

So we can turn off the vaporizer, access his vaporization chamber without losing any material!

So we can use the Pax 3 as a vaporizer with puffs on demand …

All this is much more complicated to do with the Zeus which takes 80 seconds to heat.

In addition, the plant emerges yellow to brown from the light of the Pax 3 but still darker of the Arc GT …

So everything shows that we will take more time with the Pax, while we will enjoy a more intense experience with the Zeus!

Pax 3 vs Arc GT: Temperature control and panel

Again, the two portable vaporizers we compare are neck-and-neck.

Indeed, they both offer pre-programmed temperatures that can be modified via smartphone connected app.

Thus, the Zeus Arc GT offers three temperatures that are 205, 215 and 225 degrees Celsius that we can replace with another configuration like the one dedicated to flavors with 185, 195 and 205 degrees Celsius.

We can assume that the Zeus officiates between 185 and 225 degrees Celsius.

The Pax 3 offers four temperatures that are 185, 193, 204 and 215 degrees Celsius.

In addition, we have the option to connect to the app to change the temperature to the degree if necessary, between 175 and 215 degrees Celsius!

We therefore find that the temperature range proposed by the Pax 3 is wider and more flexible.

Pax 3 vs Zeus Arc GT: Autonomy

Decidedly, these two frequent the same tailor …

These vaporizers are both equipped with a fixed 3500 Max battery!

This battery recharges in 1 hour and a half of time for the Pax 3 versus two hours for the Zeus Arc GT.

On the other hand, the second recharges via universal USB socket while the first with its proprietary induction charger.

Thus Zeus shows here more flexibility.

In terms of autonomy, our two fighters are tied by offering about 90 minutes of vape time (depending on the temperatures chosen)!

Pax 3 VS Zeus Arc GT: Heating Speed

Here, there is no photo… The Zeus Arc is left far behind the Pax 3!

In fact, the latter is already on the finish line while the first struggles to jump…

Indeed, the Pax 3 reaches 200 degrees Celsius in twenty seconds while the Zeus takes eighty times more time.

nevertheless!

This gives the Pax 3 much more flexibility and even allows it to be used as a portable vaporizer with puffs on demand.

We still forgive the Zeus its warm-up time which is no longer than that of the Mighty, itself the best portable vaporizers on the market …

Pax 3 VS Zeus Arc GT: Ergonomics

On the ergonomic side, these two portable vaporizers look like two half brothers…

Indeed, they make roughly the same volume with very similar dimensions.

The common detail that strikes is their tactile mouthpieces integrated into their respective bodies!

This touch tip is used to turn on, turn off and choose the vaporization temperatures of these two devices.

The Pax is longer but less wide than the Zeus, while being significantly lighter.

On the other hand, the curved design of the Arc GT gives it a better grip!

Their cases are aluminum with a slightly granulated texture that is pleasant to touch, and also prettier to look at than plastic-toc.

In short, since the Pax 3 came out two years before the Arc GT, the latter seems to have been greatly inspired by the qualities of its elder!

In summary

So you could see that the Pax 3 and the Zeus have a lot in common…

That's why we had to separate them in this comparison!

Personally, I don't think I want to trade my Pax 3 for a Zeus Arc GT because it offers me a much more flexible use.

But we are not all made the same, and I am quite aware that it will not satisfy thrill seekers!

For those, choose the Zeus Arc GT with its undeniably more generous puffs.

Moreover, the flavor rendition offered by the latter at the beginning of the session is too incredible not to be emphasized…
